Highland Stevedoring Ltd (HSL) are a fully comprehensive agency service offering bulk transport and warehousing facilities with full cargo loading and discharging services. 

Primarily servicing companies using the dock facilities within the Cromarty Firth, HSL support a variety of industries with a wide range of plant and haulage equipment. 

The Cromarty Firth has been recognised as a perfect anchorage for ships since the early 1700s with the Royal Navy using Invergordon as a base in the 19th century. In the early part of the 20th century the town became an official naval base and frequently had visits from the home fleet. During the First World War, Invergordon was a full-scale base for the Royal Navy, providing fuel oil, water and dockyard repair facilities. 

The Cromarty Firth Service Base is now the hub for inspection, repair and maintenance of oil rigs and vessels from all over the world and is also a major port of call for cruise liners. HSL load and unload all types of cargo from grain and fishmeal to timber and pipes.
